TestMate Introduction
The TestMate continuity tester features a universal interface fixture that accommodates adapter cards for quick changes in harness setups. Adapters can be exchanged in seconds to adapt quickly to any of a variety of wire-harness/cable connectors.
Wire Lists programs are created and assigned signatures by learning from known-good assemblies. TestMate memory accommodates 56 test programs without user labels, or 14 programs with user labels. Through control panel keys, programs may be transferred to and from memory, or deleted if no longer needed.
Testing automatically starts when the assembly under test is engaged with the adapter cards. If no fault is detected, a “Pass” is displayed, accompanied by a tone. At a fault, TestMate will stop and display the connector and pin numbers and type of error -“O” or “S” (Open or Short). Repeated pressing of Test will continue the test.
